result
A platform that organizes grant reports, publishes cultural events, and allows users to register for them — presented at an official reporting event.
The challenge
About Ukraine received a grant and wanted to build something meaningful with it — not just a website for show, but a real tool people would actually use. The challenge was structuring a lot of scattered information into one clear platform, and making it useful beyond just reporting: a place where regular users can discover and sign up for cultural events.
Research & Discovery
Competitor analysis
Studied how other Ukrainian cultural NGOs present themselves online. Found that most sites are purely informational with no interactive functionality.
Mission & vision
Worked closely with the team to define what the platform should communicate and who it's for — both grant committees and everyday users.
User research
Built user portraits and mapped the customer journey for two audiences: people looking for cultural events and the organization's team managing content.
Our approach
01
Research & strategy
Multiple calls and alignment sessions to shape the vision. Defined the structure, content strategy, and key functionality.
02
UX/UI design
Designed a clean, structured interface that makes grant information accessible and events easy to find and join.
03
Development
Built the platform with an event publishing system — the team can create events and users can register directly on the site.
04
Launch & presentation
The platform was presented at an official grant reporting event. The client used it to showcase their work and engage their community.

“They turned our grant into something people actually use. We presented the site at our reporting event and it made a real impression. Now we're looking for funding to keep building with them.”
